Black History Month Business Spotlight: Azariah

Meet Azariah, the heart behind Lifting Spirits Higher Ministries. Growing up on the tough streets of West Side Chicago, Azariah faced more than his fair share of challenges. After spending time in prison, he turned his life around and found his calling in ministry.

Now, Azariah runs Lifting Spirits Higher Ministries in Sacramento, where he helps the homeless and young people get the support they need, whether it's a hot meal or a warm jacket. He's inspired by leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and brings this inspiration into his daily work, helping those around him find their path.

"Use your goals to get to your purpose, then go do what your purpose is," says Azariah. He believes everyone can make a change in their life and encourages those in tough spots to keep moving ahead.
