This partnership will provide access to healthcare and social service providers, serving formerly incarcerated participants receiving employment training and placement
NEW YORK -- July 26, 2022 - The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) announced today its new partnership with Unite Us, the nation’s leading technology company connecting health and social care services, to provide essential health care services to participants receiving job training and placement at offices in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Oklahoma, and New York.
CEO works to reduce recidivism and increase employment by providing individuals returning home from prison with immediate paid employment, skills training, and ongoing career support.
Together, CEO and Unite Us will connect formerly incarcerated individuals to resources and services through a shared technology platform, enabling them to thrive and live healthier lives.
“Job training, healthcare, and other social services are essential factors to a successful transition back to the community for formerly incarcerated individuals,” said CEO Constituent Advancement Manager Ed Lucus. “By partnering with Unite Us to provide access to this network, CEO will be able to provide our participants access to critical care, such as transitional housing, food, mental health, and other services.”
Unite Us powers this secure, coordinated care network for health social care providers and community-based organizations to work across sectors and identify individuals' needs, such as reentry professionals, income support, employment, and more. Partners in the network are connected through the Unite Us Platform, which provides a closed-loop process to securely track referrals and outcomes of the client’s health journey.
“Our collaboration with CEO will help individuals who were formerly incarcerated reenter society with the opportunity to connect to much-needed resources and services, so they can begin to thrive as healing community members,” said Georgina Dukes, Senior Director of Social Care Impact at Unite Us. “This partnership aligns with our collective goal to provide equitable access to resources, no matter who you are or where you live,” she added.
The Unite Us Platform operates in real-time and allows staff to send and receive secure, electronic referrals, access up-to-date and vetted health and social care resources; and immediately contact providers in the formerly incarcerated individual’s local community.
