Based in New Jersey, Donovan Gayles spent many of his early years venturing in and out of New York City to visit his extended family and friends. He is a class of 2020 graduate from Susquehanna University where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy with a minor in Economics. Currently, Donovan is completing his fellowship with the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs and will be pursuing a Master's degree in Public Policy at the University of Michigan in the fall of 2021. He also plans to pursue his JD and work in racial and economic equity. His previous professional experiences include organizing for the state, local, and federal campaigns, student mentorship, volunteering, and interning for the District Attorney of Snyder County.
Aside from the professional realm, Donovan is also an avid gym-goer, basketball player, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets fan, music listener, reader, and food lover. In his free time, you will find him at any of the local parks, nose deep in a good book, or jamming out to any of the New York Hip-Hop artists. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family and being able to learn new and exciting things.
