Nate Garcia is the Chief of Staff at the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), the country’s largest reentry employment nonprofit and social enterprise employing formerly incarcerated individuals. Nate advises the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Executive Team. He also oversees executive goal-setting and operations, internal communications, organizational culture initiatives, and board management. Since joining in 2019 - Nate has led annual leadership and board retreats, COVID-19 vaccination efforts, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion projects; and various storytelling productions. 

Before joining CEO, Nate worked to implement criminal justice reform initiatives both nationally and in New York City. At the MacArthur Foundation, Nate helped launch a $100M+ initiative on jail decarceration. Nate also managed a team running a pretrial diversion program in the Brooklyn Criminal Court with the Center for Court Innovation. These days, Nate loves cooking, playing soccer, and pampering his plants.
