Courtney Adkinson has over 10 years of public policy experience and has dedicated her career
working in juvenile, criminal justice, and workforce development policy. As the Campaign Director, Courtney leads CEO’s national legislative campaigns across multiple states and supports our policy and investment strategies. 

Prior to joining CEO, she worked as a Policy Analyst at D.C.’s Deputy Mayor’s Office of Education where she led the Mayor’s advisors in developing the city’s workforce and education response and recovery plan during the pandemic. Courtney has also worked in the Virginia’s Governor’s Office, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Council of State Governments Justice Center. She received her Bachelors in Economics from Spelman College and holds a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Virginia's Frank Batten School of Leadership & Public Policy.
