Chief Financial Officer
Panagiota Mahendru is responsible for the financial stewardship of CEO, including capital and operating budgets and forecasting, financial strategy, financial affairs and reporting, audit, fiscal compliance, tax planning, payroll, investment and treasury management. She focuses on developing policies and procedures to improve financial performance and enterprise risk management to help productivity overall. In her role, she also negotiates major contracts and restructures financial agreements with major vendors and customers. Prior to CEO, Panagiota worked at Housing Works as a VP of Finance and Controller, leading the fiscal activities for departments: Housing, Retail and Health Services. Previously, Panagiota was a Financial Consultant in the UK, Greece, and USA for various projects and collaborated with EY, McKinsey and PwC. Panagiota was also a Credit Risk Senior Consultant at ICAP (Greece). Panagiota is a Board Member and Treasurer at Bent on Learning, a NY non-profit helping kids through yoga at schools, and a Board Member of HABA, a financial and banking association in New York City. Panagiota holds an MA in Accounting and Finance from Leeds University and a BS in Accounting and Finance from American College of Greece along with certification in Accounting, Audit and Taxation.
