Emily Hackworth

Chief Operating Officer

Emily Hackworth is CEO’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing IT, HR, learning and evaluation, and several other functions central to CEO’s operations. 

Before joining the CEO team, Emily served as First Deputy Commissioner at the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, an agency that provides shared services to support the City’s operations. Emily oversaw real estate, facilities management, administration, fiscal, construction, and IT services and created a strategic operations team with a focus on improving program coordination and timely and cost-effective project delivery. Prior to DCAS, Emily served as First Deputy Director and then Acting Director of the Mayor’s Office of Operations, an office responsible for making the City’s operations more effective and efficient through project and performance management. She also held positions at the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services and the Department of Small Business Services. Emily holds a Master’s of Public Administration from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s from Indiana University.
