The Opportunity

CEO is seeking a Senior Site Manager, to manage our work in our Bronx office. The Senior Manager, Bronx will lead a high performing team of professional driving towards strong outcomes for the participants we serve. The Senior Site Manager ensures the implementation of the CEO model with fidelity, develops and ensures achievement of program performance goals for the site, and is responsible for all aspects of replication and operation of the CEO model in the assigned office, including managing all administrative functions. This role reports to our Senior Director, Vocational Services.

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is dedicated to providing immediate, effective, and comprehensive employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. CEO’s programs help participants regain the skills and confidence needed for successful transitions to stable, productive lives. CEO serves more than 6,000 participants a year, giving them the opportunity to support themselves and their families, remain crime-free, and contribute positively to their communities.

Headquartered in New York City, CEO currently operates in 22 cities across eight states. In 2016, CEO embarked on a five-year strategic plan to serve 9,000 participants annually. CEO has gained support to expand its programs through government, nonprofit, and private organizations, including the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, Greenlight Fund, James Irvine Foundation, Tipping Point Community, and Bank of America Foundation, among many others.

Who You Are

  • You come to CEO with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in people and program management within a mission-driven organization
  • You demonstrate deep dedication to achieving personal, team and organizational goals through thoughtful time management, consistent data analysis, focused communications and teamwork, and continuous learning
  • You value and understand the importance of performance based goals and have experience catalyzing a team to reach these; you’re diligent and hold yourself and others accountable to deadlines and outcomes no matter a project’s complexity
  • You’re comfortable making decisions and taking a leading role, exhibiting sound judgment when facing uncertainty and urgency when resolving issues or managing stressful situations
  • You have experience building, managing, and growing a diverse team and in developing trusting relationships with individuals with a range of experiences and abilities
  • You’re a strong communicator (written, verbal, technical) and have experience engaging and persuading a diverse array of stakeholders
  • You’re able to identify potential challenges before they arise, conduct needs analysis, and offer and implement (and/or coach others to do so) potential solutions when needed; you have experience developing systems and processes to address business challenges
  • You’re well organized and easily able to multitask and adjust priorities on the fly
  • You’re very comfortable with technology, including Google Suite and Salesforce

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure implementation of the CEO model with fidelity and exercise accountability for the program and financial performance of the site you oversee under the direction of the Senior Director, Vocational Services
  • Supervise, lead, and support, a diverse, high-performing local team to serve participants and achieve our program outcomes (including life skills graduation, successful placement of participants in transitional employment, full-time job placement, and long term job retention) through disciplined data analysis, coaching, and training and development
  • Tracks and report on program progress on a monthly basis, including participant office attendance, connections to job coaching services, job placements and job retention, community outreach and new business
  • Create and refine new reports and dashboards as needed to monitor service delivery and track progress
  • Visit and assess transitional job sites to assess work quality, enhance team connection and provide support to leadership in the field;
  • Meet with participants on a 1:1 basis as needed, to motivate them and help them integrate into CEO’s program model
  • Manage processes that ensure compliance of city, state and national regulations in partnership with our Legal and Compliance team and other central office staff
  • Cultivates and maintains referral relationships with Bronx stakeholders and community partners, including but not limited to Probation, Parole, Re-Entry Task Force and other CBOs
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with other nonprofits to ensure additional services are available to CEO Bronx participants, including but not limited to housing, legal and supportive services
  • Cultivate and drive a culture of performance management by monitoring and holding oneself and others accountable for outcomes through frequent data review and analysis
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting of program outcomes for site grant agreements
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and constituents, including local and state government and agency leadership and individuals part of statewide task forces and workforce boards
