The Opportunity

As CEO continues it’s nationwide expansion in serving and employing more participants each day, increasing the capacity of our Social Enterprise operations is key to that growth. In order to ensure our social enterprise work crews are set up for success and are equipped to meet client demands, CEO is eagerly searching for a Social Enterprise Quality & Training Manager to take charge and lead the creation of a Social Enterprise Quality & Training Team, location for this position is flexible at any of our CEO offices.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced people manager and have experience in creating measures of effectiveness, quality assurance and program evaluation, is a systems builder, and has experience in learning & development, training, project management, and/or adult education.

This new and exciting role will allow the individual hired to shape the position, make recommendations, and implement training and quality strategies in such a way that will be instrumental in contributing to the growth in number of people CEO is able to impact on a daily basis!

Who We Are

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. Across the United States, over 6,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.

What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 25,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996. Since 2009, CEO has gained support to expand its programs through government, nonprofit, and private organizations including the Federal Social Innovation Fund, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, Robin Hood Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation. In 2016, CEO embarked on a 5-year strategic plan to grow to serve 9,000 participants annually.

The Nitty-Gritty:

Responsibilities of the Social Enterprise Quality & Training Manager will include but are not limited to:

Quality and Training Strategy

  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders to determine comprehensive quality assurance and training solution needs for all necessary safety, job- and skill-specific needs
  • Document and implement processes to identify and analyze performance gaps within quality and training initiatives and programs to help drive results
  • Develop quality audits and training plans, in line with business objectives
  • Own, monitor, and evaluate quality assurance and training programs’ effectiveness and make improvements based on results and user feedback continually seeking new approaches and practices

Quality & Training Operations & Implementation

  • Project manage training documentation and implementation, ensuring training efforts are organized and facilitated using clear, creative, and engaging instructional materials for in-person, virtual, and self-study training
  • Manage and oversee all social enterprise quality assurance cycles as well as training efforts including schedule and logistics, post-training and evaluation follow up - ensuring content is understood and retained and regional leaders address feedback
  • Lead and manage a team driving social enterprise quality assurance and training projects in a collaborative nature to promote a high performing team for stakeholders

Training Content

  • Maintain social enterprise training and development related content, materials, and resources ensuring these meet business objectives
  • Develop, write, and curate internal and external learning sources, subject matter experts, techniques, and materials
  • Research and monitor all industry-specific training needs, ensuring CEO training is up-to-date and meets federal and state regulations (e.g. OSHA)

Post-Quality Assurance Evaluation

  • Partner with national training leads to communicate and institute training changes that support the meeting or exceeding of business objectives
  • Develop better processes and systems for social enterprise crews to reach success
  • Analyze issues, identify root causes, propose solutions and consistently track issue resolution

Team Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team driving social enterprise learning & development projects to promote a high performing team for stakeholders

Who You Are

  • You are deeply dedicated to social justice and the re-entry field
  • You come to CEO with a bachelors or 6 years of experience in learning & development, business, nonprofit management, quality assurance, program evaluation, and/or a related field
  • You’re an experienced interpersonal manager, coming to CEO with at least 3 years of people management experience
  • You are able to balance multiple projects and deadlines, prioritizing as needed
  • You are a strong verbal and written communicator, with the ability to communicate information through a variety of formats
  • You foster a learning environment, inviting growth and flexibility for both you and your team

  • You have experience developing, delivering, and implementing new processes, strategy, and systems in an existing organization
  • You have a strong aptitude and ability with the Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office

Compensation

The salary for this position is commensurate with demonstrated experience. In an effort to be both equitable and transparent, CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, both experience, internal equity, and home office location in making a final determination on our salary offer.
