Single Stop helps individuals navigate the the public benefits system and access other important services that can break down barriers to employment. Single Stop can provide assistance with putting food on the table, obtaining medical insurance and planning a financially stable future for families, among other things.

Public Benefits: CEO will helps individuals tap into public resources including, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and other benefits offered within the NYC region.

Financial Counseling: Financial counselors can help participants obtain copies of their credit report, establish or improve credit, manage debt, set up a bank account, and put you on a realistic path to budgeting and saving money.

Legal Assistance: Attorneys meet privately with individuals to assist with criminal and civil matters—including, but not limited to, housing and eviction problems, immigration, custody disputes and employment issues.

Family Support Services: Through Single Stop, referrals for a wide array of family support services are available

Last year Single Stop assisted 167 households receive Food Stamp Benefits and 34 households receive Medicaid. In 2009, the total value of benefits that were processed by Single Stop was $944,800.
